Hello!

I'm an assistant professor at Princeton in the Anthropology Department and the High Meadows Environmental Institute!

I received a BA in Linguistics, with a minor in Cultural and Social Anthropology, and an MA in Cultural and Social Anthropology from Stanford University. After working in a China-based environmental NGO in Shanghai, I completed a PhD in Anthropology at UC Berkeley. Since completing these degrees, I was a Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow - part of the University of California Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship Program - in the Program in Science and Technology Studies at UC Davis. Before coming to Princeton, I was an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology and a core faculty member in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies at UC Santa Cruz and I was awarded a Hunt Fellowship from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.
